Universal Messengers(TM) roots can be traced back to 1992, when Darla J. Foxx received the vision to create a doll that would be a special friend to her daughter and all children enabling Ms. Foxx to share what she has learned about the importance of knowing, loving and trusting yourself, loving others, and making positive choices. Her mission is bringing healing to our world through the spirit of love, peace, and joy, along with teaching safety through awareness. Her hope is to protect and possibly save children from experiencing the devastations that too many children often encounter throughout childhood.
After several years of research, in June 2005, the vision evolved into the Alexis McDougal(TM) Character Building and Life Skills Storybook Series with the publishing of the first chapter book.
Ms. Foxx established Universal Messengers(TM) as a Limited Liability Corporation in December 2008. With over 20 years of experience in serving the public, she brings management and customer resolution skills, life experience and creativity to the field of writing, publishing, and manufacturing.
Ms. Foxx is a 2-time Award-winning Author (2009 & 2010) and the receipient of the 2010 YWCA's Empowerment Award.
Universal Messengers(TM) currently has published several storybooks in the Alexis McDougal(TM) Series, produced an Alexis McDougal Stage Production, created an Alexis McDougal Mascot for birthday parties, private and public events, owns the rights to The Alexis McDougal(TM) Plush Doll along w/her "Special Friend"~ Gabrielle, and related Alexis McDougal(TM) retail merchandise.
